Faculty Development

The 2017 New Faculty Institute will be held at the Prince Conference Center at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, June 6-9, 2017. The leaders are David Smith, Director of the Kuyers Institute for Christian Teaching and Learning at Calvin College, and Rick Ostrander, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professional Programs at the CCCU.

The Institute is designed for any faculty member in or completing their first three years of service at a CCCU Institution. Faculty members who have recently been appointed but have not officially begun their service are also encouraged to apply. We welcome participants from across the wide spectrum of the liberal arts, professional studies, adult learning programs, and more.

This Institute will provide the opportunity to dialogue with and learn from colleagues from other Christian colleges and universities, explore the integration of Christian faith with teaching and scholarship in your discipline, and consider your work and calling as a faculty member.

Registration is required.

Networking Communities

The CCCU is pleased to provide the Networking Communities as a benefit of membership. Each community is focused around shared professional interests and responsibilities.  This subscription based service provides a forum where individuals in the same position may connect on relevant issues and ask questions specific to their field across Council campuses.
