Following Christ changes everything—including our paradigm of leadership. What does it look like to be a leader in a time when the true is called false and good is called evil? What does it look like for leaders to take up their crosses daily and follow Jesus? Dr. Timothy Dalrymple will draw on the works of Søren Kierkegaard to articulate a model for leadership that is fundamentally different from what the world (and the Christian leadership industry) envisions.

Join us for an open discussion on the significance of the transatlantic slave trade agreement then and now, and why it matters to Christian higher education. We will dive into an increased awareness about the causes and consequences of the different dimensions of the African slave trade and slavery, while also gathering an appreciation of the social, economic, cultural, and scientific contributions of people of African descent in shaping the modern world. Finally, we’ll examine the conscious and/or unconscious forms of racism in our society deriving from this tragic past and a shared vision of a society free from racism, racial discrimination, and prejudice.
