CCCU Names Andrea Thies as Vice President for Advancement

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities, the leading voice of Christian higher education, today announced that Andrea Thies has been named vice president for advancement.

Thies was previously the vice president of advancement and admissions at Warner University, where she led the advancement and marketing teams in donor engagement and financial gifts. Her expertise led to $40 million in gift revenue for the university and record numbers in new student enrollment.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andrea Thies to our team,” said CCCU President David Hoag. “With over 20 years of experience in Christian higher education and a proven track record in successful recruitment and fundraising, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to advance our mission. Her commitment to cultivating relationships and inspiring generosity will be instrumental as we seek to empower the next generation of leaders in Christian higher education.”

Thies holds an MBA from Greenville University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (SIUE).

Prior to Warner University, Thies served as the director of development and donor relations at Greenville University.
