The SCIO Semester Programme brings outstanding students, giving them access to Oxford’s world-class libraries with over 13 million books. They meet regularly with acclaimed Oxford scholars, engage in scholarly discussions, and produce up to 15 essays while doing substantial undergraduate research during their one semester. Students in the Summer Programme, who benefit from the same library access, spend one month engaging with Oxford scholars in small group discussions and one-on-one tutorials and diving into the richest academic resources in the world.

Our institutions rely on the CCCU to be their voice in Washington, D.C. and around the world. Our government relations staff forms key relationships to ensure CCCU institutions have access to the right people and the right information at the right time – helping preserve, protect, and strengthen Christian higher education for generations to come. This advocacy includes work with Congress, the judiciary, and the administration on issues such as religious freedom, institutional autonomy, accreditation, financial aid, tax policy, immigration, prison reform, environmental stewardship, and more. Like a cord of many strands, the CCCU’s advocacy efforts bring together the influence of 180+ institutions to strengthen their missions and amplify their voices.

Professional development and leadership training for faculty and staff on CCCU campuses is critical to our mission of helping our institutions transform lives. Our professional development opportunities include conferences and workshops held throughout the year. Leadership development programs are provided annually for key leaders and presidents as catalysts for effective professional development. You can support these efforts by making a gift to the Longman Leadership Fund, named after renowned Christian higher education scholar, professor, and leader Dr. Karen A. Longman, a longtime friend and partner in the work of the CCCU.

September 2025:

As our member institutions prepare for an exciting new year, we pray for the students, faculty, and staff, both new and returning. We ask that faculty and staff are gifted with wisdom and strength in guiding students academically and spiritually. For new students, we pray that they trust God in calling them to His purpose as they embark on this new season of life (Romans 8:28). For returning students, we ask that God continue to bless their academic and spiritual journeys. In the midst of studying, classes, extracurriculars, and more, we pray that our campus communities are reminded of God's presence. As Psalm 133:1 reminds us, "Behold how good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity." We pray that our member institutions are reminded of what a blessing it is for students, faculty, and staff to come together in faith.

We also pray for our CCCU staff in D.C. and abroad as we serve our member institutions. We ask for faithfulness and wisdom in supporting our schools and pray for a blessed year ahead.
