CCCU Forms Innovative Partnership with Ed Tech Company CampusEDU
October 5, 2020
WASHINGTON — The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) has signed a partnership agreement with the education technology company CampusEDU to provide state-of-the-art online education. This new partnership utilizes CampusEDU’s innovative online platform, which seeks to transform the online education world by creating a compelling virtual learning environment for students, with substantive and engaging content delivered through a seamless interface and multi-media experiences.
CampusEDU works directly with campuses to create online courses and provide them with a suite of tools to connect with and reach this generation of learners, including:
1. Campus Discover – A customized mobile app that features a directory of available courses and academic programs in an attractive user interface.
2. Campus Learn – A new type of online course, taught by traditional faculty from partner institutions that provides state-of-the-art online course content.
3. Campus Schedule (coming Fall 2021) – An innovative degree audit tool that automates the advising process while providing courses from both a student’s home institution as well as partner institutions from around our academic league.
“COVID-19 is changing the higher education landscape, and we’re seeing that the flexibility of blending in-person and online education is proving to be an effective model for many of our campuses,” says CCCU President Shirley Hoogstra. “It has become clear that we need to provide extraordinary in-person and extraordinary online courses. As a membership organization, we are committed to providing our campuses with the best possible resources to meet their particular needs in furthering the work of Christian higher education. CampusEDU is building a new type of online platform that improves the student experience, with courses taught by CCCU faculty in a Christ-centered, state-of-the-art virtual environment, and gives campuses the opportunity to broaden their reach.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with our friends at the CCCU,” shares Darren Campbell, founder and CEO of CampusEDU. “My experience at a CCCU institution changed my life, and I am committed to advancing Christian higher education to ensure that for decades to come, students will benefit from extraordinary virtual courses taught by CCCU faculty in a Christ-centered environment.”
CampusEDU is already working with a number of CCCU institutions, including Abilene Christian University, Gordon College, Indiana Wesleyan University, Lipscomb University, and John Brown University.
