CCCU Names Joy Mosley Vice President for Government & Strategic Relations

September 3, 2024

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities, the leading voice of Christian higher education, today announced that Joy Mosley has been named vice president for government & strategic relations.

Mosley joined the CCCU in 2019 as the director of government relations and, in 2020, was promoted to senior director of government relations.

“As a board member and now the president, I have witnessed the exceptional value Joy brings to the CCCU through her advocacy work,” said CCCU President David Hoag, Ph.D., who became the organization’s eighth president on September 1. “She is well respected on the Hill and always makes a strong case for Christ-centered colleges and universities. Advocacy continues to be one of the CCCU’s three key priorities, and this promotion brings Joy’s expertise directly into the President’s Cabinet.”

Mosley holds a B.A. from Covenant College, an MBA from Belhaven University and a J.D. from the Emory University School of Law, where she focused on religious liberty and education.

“I am deeply honored to accept this promotion as the CCCU moves forward into a new chapter of leadership,” Mosley said. “As we champion religious liberty and the transformative power of Christ-centered education, I look forward to working together to ensure that our institutions continue to thrive and remain faithful in our Kingdom work.”

Prior to joining the CCCU, Mosley served as a senior HR partner for Covenant College and a legal fellow with the Center for Public Justice.
